SkyDiamond

Launching a very modern alchemy with a mission and message
Image
Borkowski launched SkyDiamond, the first diamond to be made ethically and sustainably using carbon taken directly from the atmosphere, and with a process powered by wind and rain.

Borkowski’s extensive experience with outlandish ideas and our media relations skills were engaged to ensure that SkyDiamond – an ethical, sustainable and scientifically-advanced alternative to mined diamonds – was taken seriously and its mission and concept communicated clearly and extensively. We backed our launch for the trailblazing brand, concept and company with a fact-led campaign about the diamond production process, leaning on founder Dale Vince’s book and report about the true impact of diamond mining on people and the planet.

By polemicising and politicising SkyDiamond as a challenge to the traditional diamond trade, Borkowski also stoked conversation and debate to shape a brand with a powerful purpose that went beyond commercial interest. The story quickly travelled the globe, featuring in 101 different countries with over 600 pieces of coverage spanning top tier titles across every continent, UK national newspapers and broadcasters, as well as a range of verticals.
