
Empty department stores will host real-life Monopoly games to help UK high streets
Launching immersive entertainment experience Monopoly Lifesized was very much a natural fit for Borkowski’s history, record and taste for live events, with the life-sized version of the famous board game giving us the opportunity to dazzle media with the sheer joy of playing alongside information on the parent company as a growing brand and business success. To this end, we created a fun-filled event where celebrities, influencers and media got to try out the game together in the same way that any customer would, meaning that the public would then rush to try it for themselves.
This strategy led to TV news packages where journalists from the likes of Sky News and ITV London News laughed and screamed their way through the immersive game, perfectly illustrating what a good time they were having. Over 500 pieces of coverage ran across the news, consumer, entertainment and business press, with many featuring the game’s originator – Path Entertainment group CEO David Hutchinson – speaking about the experience alongside examples of the company’s events expertise.
