Big London Tattoo Show

Shining a light on London’s alternative culture
Image
Celebrating alternative culture from across the UK, the Big London Tattoo Show is the country’s biggest tattoo festival, welcoming over 500 artists and 10,000 attendees to the ExCeL each year. While the show has long been a cornerstone of the tattoo scene, with attendance growing year on year, formal coverage was minimal and confined to industry specific publications.

Working together for the first time, Borkowski focused on bringing the world of tattoos to life for a new audience, advising on how best to position the subculture for a wider demographic. With the primary aim of increasing ticket sales year on year, Borkowski secured a key feature on the PA, as well as a number of high-end London listing publications.

Borkowski shared invites with key influencers and journalists, softening the overall image of the event to highlight that tattoos are for everyone, as well as bringing key angles around the role of AI in art and the business of tattooing to the fore. On the weekend itself, BBC Breakfast featured the show in three live inserts, with the presenter speaking to a number of artists and even getting a (temporary) tattoo herself. With a further broadcast segment on BBC London, ticket sales increased when compared to 2024, with plans to return to the ExCeL for 2026’s show.
